MASTERTOP TOP COAT 44P is normally applied, but not restricted to, elastomeric MASTERTOP products.

 Substrate preparation

Previous coatings that are within their overcoating times do not require preparation.

Coatings that have exceeded the overcoating window, or coatings that are dirty, require abrading and cleaning.

Suitable means of preparation are:

High pressure water jetting, power scrubbing with detergent etc.

 Mixing:

Pour the B component into the A component and mix until streak free. Pour into a clean container and remix for 30 seconds.

 Application:

Apply by roller or airless spray at 80-120m m. Do not apply in a single coat at more than 130m m. Apply one or two coats as required.

 Storage

Store under cover out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. In tropical climates the product must be stored in an air conditioned environment.

Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging. For specific storage advice consult BASF's Technical Services Department.
