Monolithic, reinforced elastomeric expansion joint system
Description
WABO GT joints consist of a monolithic unit made of moulded neoprene, complying with UNI CNR 10018/87 standard, and reinforced by built-in steel plates meeting UNI CNR 7070 standard. In order to eventually meet other specifications Wabo GT joints can be produced with various elastomeric compounds and/or with different kind of steel. Center section of joint consists of solid rib in the form of a semi-circle, in the same thickness as the joint, large enough in size to support across the joint gap the vertical load transmitted by the vehicles, whilst accommodating the movement required by the structure. WABO GT joints are supplied in three types according to the movement to be taken up. System is secured mechanically to the structure by bolts.
