Meyco TCC system

Liquid admixtures for Total Consistency Control (TCC) in wet shotcreting

Description

The Meyco TCC system is a process produced by an interaction of two components of two components giving a sharp loss of slump and a thixotropic effect at the moment of their mixing. Thus, the MEYCO TCC system opens up new possibilities for wet shotcreting and offers the required new performances.

 Technical performances

  • Sharp slump loss without accerlerating effect
  • Minimal decrease of final strengths as compared to cast concrete
  • Homogeneous mix
  • Watertightness
  • Good pumpability
  • Low w/c ratio
  • Substantial reduction of alkali based admixtures
  • Increased toughness of steelfibre reinforced shotcrete
  • thanks to low fibre rebound and better fibre orientation
  • Long open time for surface finishing
  • Low rebound
  • Less dust for an improved working environment

Components of the MEYCO TCC system

Component A:

Component A is added to the concrete during batching, together with the other admixtures used for the mix. Component A is added just as a normal superplasticiser. In most cases component A of MEYCO TCC makes the addition of another superplasticiser unnecessary.

Component B:

Component B is added to the concrete mix at the nozzle just as a set accelerator or activator. In most cases component B of MEYCO TCC makes the addition of a set accelerator or activator unnecessary.

Fields of application of MEYCO TCC

Basically, the MEYCO TCC system can be used in two situations:

For rock support or where early strengths are required. In this case a minor dosage of a set accelerator is added at the nozzle, together with component B.

For repair and final lining or where long open time for surface finishing, but no fast setting and no early strengths are needed.
